This is something that many people will discount automatically just because it's a Kahler and 'Kahlers rob tone' apparently.
Well I found that the opposite is true. This bridge is absolutely fantastic being a drop in replacement for 2 point fender tremolos. It really focused the tone and added some nice snap into the midrange.
The main draw to this bridge for me was the fact that it's an engineering masterpiece. Below are a list of points as to why this bridge is a far better alternative to Floyd Roses and the like in my opinion.

The main draw to this bridge for me was the fact that it's an engineering masterpiece. Below are a list of points as to why this bridge is a far better alternative to Floyd Roses and the like in my opinion.
- Unlike most floating tremolos it doesn't have any knife edges that can wear out which would render the bridge useless. Instead it has pivot points that rest against the mounting bolts that have the knife edge on instead. These bolts are about $6 to replace and you could even use heavy duty countersunk screws in their place.
- On top of the above intonation isn't a pain to set as you just unlock the saddle on the underside of the trem then adjust the intonation with an allen key as you would a standard TOM bridge then lock it when done.
- Then we go onto the saddles themselves. You can adjust the string spacing of each saddle individually to match your pickups and also the height of each saddle to match your fretboard radius.
- The final and most interesting feature is the auto latch system. This mounts inside the cavity in a pretty similar fashion as a tremelno and when the trem arm is placed into the resting position (downwards) it locks the tremolo into a fixed bridge. You can also do this if a string breaks just lock the tremolo and your guitar will remain in tune for the remainder of the song.
