After developing an allergy to all things floor-based and battery powered, I abandoned FX pedals for years and just used a Quadraverb then later a Lexicon for all my reverbs and delays BUT those awfully nice people at BOSS just had to go and catch my attention with a weird pedal. So I now own an SL-20 Slicer pedal and it is awesome. It's one of those pedals that does things no other pedal can do. The kind of thing you didn't know you wanted until you buy one then you find yourself writing songs around it.
I record with my delay speeds tied to the Cubase tempo with MIDI clock and guess what, the SL-20 can also tie to MIDI clock. Gives me slice and delays that fall exactly in time with the track. This is my first blast into Cubase with it chugging and panning to create a 16th note pattern in the background. Listen on headphones.

Now that Is an interesting sounding pedal. It isn't something that I can see myself wanting but I would like to have a mess around with one.
On another note. I love the sound of the bass it fits the track perfectly.

I like the bass sound too, that was just a Jazz Bass, DI'd and compressed.
This gives you an idea of some of the rhythmic capabilities. The voiceover is toe-curlingly naff as ever, thanks BOSS USA.
