As sad as it makes me, I haven't touched the RGD in weeks. I dunno whether it's just a tubbier sounding guitar, or whether it's the difference in pickups, or the strings. I've only had it strung up with 12-56+66 in drop G with a 57-7 in and it was bloaty. Got my usual 9-42+56 on the way to tune it to A so I can A/B them.

They're designed for classic rock. Get Harden to send you a beast. Should do the trick. It has shit loads of cut abnd pick attack in all the right places.

It's got a low mid bloat that pretty much won't go away. Well, unless you EQ and multiband compress it like a boss. But then you'd have to be me, and then if you were me you would rather record a guitar without it in the first place.
