I presume Hercules are decent but if anyone has any experience with the Hercules hangers or any other brand i'd like to hear your thoughts on them.

Hercules are well made, but I don't really recommend hanging guitars unless the neck is set dead straight, the weight of the guitar is similar to removing a string (a few Kg load opposing the strings obviously); it affects the relief.

I have to admit I'm not 100% keen on hanging them either (I was more concerned about them falling, but that relief thing is probably worth bearing in mind too), but I have no room for them if I don't.

The best stands are either multi-racks that have the guitars on the side of the neck (that amount of force can't make the neck bend in that direction) or leave the neck free-standing.

yeah i have those multi ones but they take up too much room also they don't work with pointy guitars
